I met with sweet little Burke last week, he was simply adorable and while he had a little spunk he sure looked comfortable in his big brothers arms. Finishing up his proofs and had to pop on and blog one of my faves from his session. Thank you!!
I can’t get good pictures of my kids

I give up….
I hear it all the time, my clients, my friends, my fellow photographers even.
I guess in a way so many of us have become “photo snobs” we want only the perfect smile, the perfect composition in the perfect light with the perfect coordinating outfits.
It’s a shame actually, but less and less of us are “snapping” memories and more and more of us are deleting the out of focus and the terrible grain even if it’s the sweetest expression on our little ones face.
I am guilty of all of the above, but I have a friend that captures the BEST pictures of her kids (yes you JB), they are spontaneous, adorable and most of all ALIVE…I love them, the good the bad and the not so perfect.
So today my kids were driving me off a steep cliff on a unicycle and then I saw it….another one of her super cool photos and I was motivated. I turned to the four creatures that were ripping a Highlights book to a million pieces in the living room and said… Hey, you wanna go jump on mommies bed?
Oh the looks, the gasps of shock and awe, almost worried that I was just yanking their chain. YES they all said, so I said fine let’s do it. I grabbed my camera, vowed myself in the mirror to not tell them to look, smile or act a certain way. I pulled the lamp off the nightstand and told them to be safe and have fun….They were and they did 
Not award-winning photos, not going to go down in history as original. I LOVE THEM!!!!
So get out there and shoot your kids lol, with your camera of course and let them be kids. You wont regret it ♥
It was on my way to her session last week that my car decided that it had been through enough and died. I was sad to have to reschedule her, but she waited patiently and we were able to get to her session on Wednesday. She slept fantastic and was so super sweet. It was hard to pick a favorite, but I am such a sucker for the smile or in her case the smirk. Enjoy ♥

I decided that a little giveaway was long overdue!!!

Oh my gosh I am so excited!!! Oh and if you haven’t already become a fan of A Golden Touch Boudoir and you would like to keep up to date with the other side of my work please like that page. No it wont get you an extra entry and I wont make you because I know it isn’t for everyone but these ladies are gorgeous and I loved every second of working with them.
A Gorgeous baby girl!! I know I am only sharing one image on this post but it’s too pretty to be just left on facebook to be all squished and pixellated. A lot of time goes into this type of shot, and sometimes they just don’t work. This time I think it did!! I am thrilled with the result and I am so happy mom requested it.
Little Fiona is the fourth addition in a family full of beautiful little girls. She was four days new but super alert and super sweet. We still need to try and get a few more shots of her this coming week, but I had to share a couple. Enjoy!!
